Like many autistic people, my least favourite emotion is confusion. I think this stems from a lifetime of feeling as though everyone knows something that we don’t, and knowing that not only are we disadvantaged by this, but we are prone to receiving harsh judgement because of it.

Yet another complaint into Arriva North East Just weeks after my last due to the carelessness towards their disabled passengers. Last bus and now my disabled partner with chronic pain has to walk several miles home because they failed to stop. Why am I not surprised.

Does anyone know where the idea that autistic people lack imagination originally comes from? I spent my childhood immersed in imaginary worlds which felt just as real to me as reality. I want to understand where the idea autistic people lack imagination comes from.
