Ausar Thompson is going to take a huge leap this coming season. Book it. Let's not forget he really didn't have an offseason last summer and he was very slowly and carefully worked into things through the first half of the season He's about to arrive emphatically

First look at Ausar Thompson at the #AT2BasketballCamp. After #Pistons GM Trajan Langdon told the press that he is excited to note Ausar has bulked up and that “he's in the gym everyday working with Fred on his shot.” We are all excited for this next season for AT.

There’s a section of the Pistons fanbase that still underrates Ausar Thompson and I don’t completely understand how/why.

Zach Lowe just called Asar Thompson the most intriguing player of the upcoming season. Loves his cutting, Duren chemistry, and growth from the Knicks series. Howard Beck says he’s All-Defense level. They even dive into Ivey’s fit with Cade. Gold for #Pistons fans. #TheArichives

“My single most intriguing player is Ausar Thompson … My number one reason for Detroit optimism [this season] is I just think Ausar Thompson has a chance to be really, really good. And really good, sooner than people think.” Zach Lowe on Ausar… this got me hyped for next

If Ausar comes in next season conditioned like his rookie season, with an improved handle, upping his ft %, look for that mid-range, and finishing that’s the leap. The shooting will come but those are things he can do immediately that will make a big difference.

It’s not hard to see that with better conditioning, ball-handling and confidence. That Ausar Thompson has the makings of a breakout player. His instincts and traits are off the charts. #Pistons #Detroitbasketball
