Fellowship application completed, a TONNE of energetic solar flares and now potential NI #aurora tonight, the weather has been amazing the last couple of days, and Doctor Who is back tonight. It's been a good week!

With each flare this region puts out I've been thinking "surely that's it done now?". Only for the biggest flare of the solar cycle so far to come blasting out as it disappears around the limb. Brilliant time to be a solar flare physicist!

This is absolutely baffling to me as I went through this airport 12 hours earlier and it was EMPTY. There was 5 passengers in security. Staff told me I was lucky to be ahead of the rule on 100ml liquids suddenly being reversed as it would cause chaos. But I never expected this.
