Railway Bramble (Rubus tuberculatus) fruiting at Berkhamsted Castle. Canes scramble over the ruins. Berries are reluctant to ripen even in full sun. When they do, they leave a few drupes unripe. Taste: not much, with large seeds to get stuck in teeth. A few were #StillFlowering

I'm mapping plants on QGIS and trying to include Guernsey (see the poor inset map). Red shows tidal portions of rivers. I must look for a better outline of the British Isles; otherwise, I'll have to get my crayons out. 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱

Fat Duckweed (Lemna gibba) switched from a fat form in August to a flat winter form by November. Seen today at Hilfield Reservoir. This is the only place in Herts I've seen the fat form. Everywhere else in Herts appears to heave the flat form throughout the year!
