Looking at tackling some curriculum development within my team this year, first thing looking at the Vic Curric content descriptors and turning them into “I can” statements for Learning Intentions/Increase student understanding. Anyone tackled this before? Keen to collaborate!

Taking away specials/ electives such as Art, Music, PE, etc. to add more content for testing is the same as taking away recess. It may sound like a good idea, but many children come to school for these classes and removing them may remove their joy for learning.

I am looking to install permanent soccer/hockey goals on a asphalt space in my schools outdoor play space. Does anyone know any supplier for this? Tried my usual sport suppliers and not getting what I’m after.

Just one way we have used Active Schools funding to improve our spaces for physical activity. In a joint venture with the secondary school we share campus space with, what once was a flood prone patch of gravel, now turned into a multitude of opportunities for physical activity!
