Grateful to have opportunities to build my capacity as a teacher and leader. This year, I took on the responsibility of coordinating graduation. Many long hours of work turned into late nights and sleepless stretches, all while navigating every detail that brought us to today.

Seeing the smiles of our graduates and the pride from their families made it all worthwhile. Grateful for my amazing graduation team and coworkers who supported me every step of the way. Now, it's time to catch some well-deserved rest.

Caught up with my former student Alex over coffee today! I was fortunate to teach her in 11th and 12th grade, and now she's heading into her second year at Virginia Tech with plans to become a teacher! I have no doubt she'll inspire and make an impact on her future students!

Participated in Douglass Legacy Day, honoring Douglass High School, the only Black high school in Loudoun County from 1941 to 1968. Discovering its impact on the community was truly inspiring, highlighting a legacy that continues to empower future generations.

I’m standing by the Hall of Heroes, inspired by the National Museum of African American History and Culture. The Douglass Community Center playground honors the contributions of African Americans, featuring unique structures and replicas that bring history and culture to life.

Last night, my colleagues and I were honored by the varsity volleyball team during Teacher Appreciation Night. I’m truly thankful for their recognition! It inspires me to continue supporting and uplifting our students. 💚💛

Fantastic day at ¡ALCANZA! Hosted by George Mason University, this event boosts college interest and awareness among high school students in the DMV during Hispanic Heritage Month, inspiring Latinx students about their post-secondary opportunities.

I’m grateful to serve as a CAMPUS facilitator this year, helping to create opportunities and meet the needs of first-generation college-bound students.

Great day at Stone Bridge HS for the Diaspora of African Foods Holiday Luncheon, showcasing how AP and Honors African American Studies unite students, educators, and the community to celebrate African and African American histories, contributions, and cultures.

Tonight, I had the privilege of attending the Launching Your Leadership Conference! While teaching will always be at the heart of what I do, I'm excited about the possibilities ahead and how I might make a lasting impact through leadership.

Completed the Aspiring Administrator Academy, a year-long professional learning experience for LCPS educators preparing for leadership roles. I delivered my culminating presentation, “Leading for Equity: Expanding Culturally Responsive Curriculum for Student Success”.

I’m excited to share that I’ve been accepted into George Mason University to pursue my certification in administration. I’m thankful to LCPS for selecting me to be part of the Principal Apprenticeship Cohort and look forward to this next chapter of growth and leadership.
