Arsenal is my Club. Always has been since 1951. The red shirts, the signature tune (Anchors Away), the peanuts, the H-T Police band, the H-T full pitch March, the clock, the grassy 4 corners, the HT scoreboard, the Reserve team score at W. And much more

They were in their elitist luxury- off limits to us fans who loyally followed the Club. This was always wrong - every season every match. Always Them and Us. Small hard up local Clubs have Community. Have identity. Have unity.

It’s always been wrong. Snobbery, disdain, detached, lofty. I often envy the small Clubs who experience fame and success only fleetingly. But they are One. Loyal all the way. Fans, directors, Programme sellers, players.

We have never had that at Arsenal. The Board were always up there on their own. Yes they had some risk but boy did they laid it. The Board loved the big divide. Arrogant. Smug. Self important.

A bit like the luxury liner / the difference between first class and third class. This is a bit of a rant but there is a core point. The Board tolerate us. They do not embrace us. We are not all on the same side.

There is a divide. Always has been. We have been left on the steps outside. Bracewell Smith, Hill Wood, Kroenke. The embrace had never really been there. We lack the basic unity, the basic community. Southend Utd have it. Barnet have it. AFC dont

We have our highlights. We have great moments - Anderlecht 70, Double 71, GG Six in Eight, Anfield 89, Wenger Years, Bergkamp and more. It hss been great. Community on the Terraces but no further. The Board are not us. We are not a Family.

How many more overs with this ball? If Smith and Stokes can keep going it will make the final new ball overs fascinating. Love it.

8 years ago today 7/7/17 at 13.35 my brave superhero took his last breath on earth and went to be with the angles. There is not a day goes by that I don't think of Brad but today is always the hardest day. Pining for that last cuddles and to hear him say "love you mammy"
