Commemorating the 30th Anniversary of the Mull of Kintyre Chinook helicopter tragedy members of 38X hosted a service at Thiepval Barracks. Joined by members of the Int Corps Association, PSNI and the RUC GC Foundation they honoured those serving personnel who lost their lives.

Today we had the honour to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of 38 Irish Brigade The Army in Northern Ireland the first Allied troops to enter the Vatican after the Liberation of Rome. The Pipes and Drums of The Royal Irish Regiment played in St Peter’s Square for Pope Leo XIV as they did 80 years ago. 🫡🇬🇧

In 2024 the Army Cadet Force (ACF) are marking 80 years in Northern Ireland. This morning, to celebrate this massive milestone, Cadets paraded through Ballyclare, where the first unit was established. The parade involved nearly 200 young people and 50 adult volunteers.

This morning Brig Murray, Comd 38 (Irish) Bde, joined politicians and senior military at the Remembrance Service in Enniskillen. Brig Murray said “It was an honour to lay the wreath on behalf of the Army, to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.” #LestWeForget

Yesterday UK Armed Forces football welcomed Irish Defence Forces Soccer to Lisburn for their annual Friendship Trophy match, kindly hosted at Ballymacash Rangers Bluebell Stadium. The men’s match was an outstanding fixture 🇬🇧 1 - 🇮🇪 0. Here’s to many more! ⚽️ #DefenceTeamNI☘️ #FriendshipTrophy
