A study published in Journal of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery this month evaluated 80 patients that died after blunt trauma prehospital and in the ED and had a post-mortem CT scan performed. TBI was the most common at 40%... okay, not much we can do about that. ~1 in 4 had blood in the belly ~1 in 5
