I got a donation through Venmo the other day from a lovely follower and they were afraid it wasnt enough. But honestly, if I got 5 bucks from every single person on here it would add up to over 18k and that's nothing to sneeze at. Haha

Heard back from city council again. Our claim will be addressed by at least 8/5. What that means, I don't know. But fingers crossed!

We also just got a phone call from our city council representative and he said we no longer have to worry about the deadline they put on our house! I’m so relieved! It was going to cost us 500 dollars a day after our deadline if we didn’t have the house fixed or destroyed.

City denied our claim. Said they weren’t legally liable to pay us anything.

We were advised by a lawyer to file for bankruptcy. The mortgage company refuses to try to work with us. They say we can only ask for forbearance.

We are in our new rental and everything is working out so far. I got news from the city a week or so ago that they will be buying our property from us at value before the storm hit! We aren’t going to have to go into bankruptcy after all!
