I wrote a post on password-based authenticated key exchange and the new OPAQUE protocol. A little nerdy, but these are useful techniques more people should know about. blog.cryptographyengineering.com/2018/10/19/let…

Privacy is not a crime. If no jurisdiction is safe, then we must design our apps with this in mind. Keep no unnecessary user data, identifiers, IP addresses, or other metadata unless absolutely necessary. Make any exceptions crystal clear to the user.

You have to brute force your way through problems these days. Very few people are competent out there. Even the simplest task or request is like pulling teeth.

People who advocate for privacy in a world that ignores it are trailblazers. By taking a visible stand, they make it safer for others to follow. When you speak up, you may never know how many people you inspire to be a little braver in their own life.
