I went to Cuba yesterday.

Some basic truths: 1. People are starving in Gaza. 2. Thousands of aid trucks are waiting to go in, supported by professionals who can distribute it. 3. All Israel has to do is open the gates and let it in. 4. Not opening the gates is a war crime. Open the effing gates.

By multiple accounts there’s no food left in Gaza. The people who still have money can find no food to buy. No food. Look at your child and think about that.

It does not feel like many are grasping how serious this is. Longterm severe health and cognitive consequences, death of many thousands within weeks. It is insane anyone in power is doing anything but flying to the border of Gaza and demanding food trucks in.
