Back from a record excavation at La Faucille cave with a fantastic Archeologie UGent and EMA team. We gained new insights into our Neolithic ancestor’s cultural practices and have our work cut out for us in the lab with over 1100 digitally recorded in-situ finds.

We did not know what to expect on this public holiday but more than 100 interested people came to see the excavation at Thorikos and were informed about the results in Greek, English, German and French. UGent Archeologie UGent Uni Göttingen Ioannina University
With the backfill we are not only closing the dig but also a scientifically very successful campaign at Thorikos. Great finds in good contexts and moreover a wide range of ecological data UGent Archeologie UGent Uni Göttingen Ioannina University
