Nothing like wearing our new OEL team swag on a beautiful Friday. Heading towards the end of school year full steam and already working on next year.

In June we recognize LGBTQ+ Pride Month, a celebration of the many contributions made by the LGBTQ+ community to our history and culture. We support our students, staff, families, and community members who are a part of and allies to the LBGTQ+ community.

In June we recognize National Caribbean American Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the rich history and culture of Caribbean American people and their contributions to our nation.

In June we recognize National Immigrant Heritage Month, a time for us to learn more about our own heritage and celebrate the many ways that immigrants have and continue to help develop and enrich our nation.

Wonderful to see students highly engaged in language & content during the project based learning of summer school. MSers making everything from houses to test seismic activity to following directions and the science behind making rice crispy treats. Lots of smiles and learning!

Project based learning (PBL) during summer school! Such a great curriculum for English learners. Heavy on language, content, collaboration, communication and it’s fun. Loved seeing early elementary grades working on engineering ideas.
