Crossing one of my favourite bridges - the Port Mann. It opened in 2012 and crosses the mighty Fraser. It is the 2nd longest cable stay bridge in N America (the first is called the Gordie Howe).

If you are considering adopting a fuzzy buddy, check out Saving Grace in Alix, Alberta. They have a great Facebook site. This sweet little miss was recently abandoned in central AB and is looking for a fam. savinggracecanada.com

So many great events around YYC. Tonight was Chinatown history - a fascinating evening. They could easily do a whole course on the topic.

Current read: I think every foodie has a love for this guy in some way. I have one of his episodes on Spain saved on the PVR and still can’t quite bring myself to delete it.

If you are interested in Canadian history, pick up this beautifully moving book by Catherine Clement on the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1923. We were lucky to catch her talk at The Confluence yesterday.

YYCites- if you don’t know this place, look it up. Just a few apricots left but they have BC peaches, melons, veggies galore. Big flats of BC blueberries right now. So many healthy treats.

Current read - not my usual fare but enjoying the 3 female protagonists, each seeing each other through different lenses, only partially accurate. The descriptions of the family-specific behaviours, jokes, and language and the resulting tensions made me think about my own.

Quiet Christmassy vibes in Greer, South Carolina, where I am here for a team workshop. It’s always cool meeting team mates for the first time from all over the world.
