Day 4 of #grosspathology for the perusal of #TwitterPathology. In addition to the hemorrhage here, this patient had lost 30% of its estimated blood volume into the abdomen, thorax and pericardium. There was also mediastinal hemorrhage. #vetpathology #rodenticidetoxicity

Day 5 of #vetpathology. This sugar glider did have a big heavy meal but it’s so strange to see it in something other than a big dog! #GDV #grosspathology #twitterpathology #pathtwitter

Day 6.5 of the #pathology extravaganza: tissue from a dog. This dog died unexpectedly. If bloodwork had been done on this dog, I would expect a marked lymphocytosis. #twitterpathology #vetpath #grosspathology

Day 7.5 of #vetpathology. Neoplastic lymphocytes everywhere! They were seen in circulation in blood vessels everywhere and wall to wall in the femoral bone marrow #histopathology #twitterpathology #pathtwitter

Day 8 of #vetpathology. Tissue from a chicken: this patient was a favorite layer in a backyard chicken who died unexpectedly from fatty liver hemorrhagic syndrome. #twitterpathology #grosspathology

Day 9 of #PathTwitter. Is that a uterus with ovaries just hanging out in heart muscle? I love surprise ectopic tissue 🤣. #fauxchoristoma #histology #vetpathology

Day 11 of #vetpathology. Tissue from a cat: extensive #cystadenoma all throughout the liver. Fun fact, even though it’s called an adenoma, it’s not neoplastic at all. #vetpath #PathTwitter #grosspathology

Day 13 of #vetpathology. This granuloma was 11 x 9 x 6 cm and stuck in the oviduct of a chicken. It’s so wild how you can see the layers of exudate building up with eggs being incorporated as the white domes. The center had tons of fluke eggs. #PathTwitter #grosspathology

This was meant to be posted last night but I was struggling with the interwebs. Day 14 of the #vetpathology extravaganza. This pedunculated #lipoma magically wrapped around 3 segments of jejunum/ileum even though it had a 1cm stalk! #grosspathology #PathTwitter #strangulation
