I love this painting by Jan Lievens. I took these photos at The Mauritshuis in The Hague. Tronie of an old man, 1630. He shared a workshop with Rembrandt in Leiden. 💙

I took these photos at the start of the year in The scrovegni Chapel in Padua. I love this panel in the right hand corner. Remember this was 1303. Look at Giotto’s command of perspective.
