It was an exciting experience for @Arman_AOP and Mahya_Assadi to meet the Princess of Wales (Kate Middleton) and speak to her. Her Royal Highness visited NTU today and talked to NTU students as part of her visits across the country to mark World Mental Health Day. Advanced Optics & Photonics Lab

Congratulations to Dr Cuifeng Ying Cuifeng Ying, from Advanced Optics & Photonics Lab for being awarded the best oral presentation prize during Single-Molecule Sensors and NanoSystems International Conference (S3IC 2023). Well done! NTU Department of Engineering NTUScienceTechnology

Arman Yousefi (@Arman_AOP) just presented a fantastic seminar NTU Department of Engineering. Arman is the first PhD student in the Advanced Optics & Photonics Lab. He significantly helped us develop the labs and run wonderful research. Many thanks to Arman and Cuifeng @Cuifeg_AOP for her fantastic supervision and guidance.

Congratulations to Mohsen Rahmani Mohsen Rahmani, from IEEE UK and Ireland Section, for being appointed a Distinguished IEEE Lecturer for Nanotech Council. In 2024, he will visit IEEE NTC chapters worldwide to share his knowledge & insights as an eminent expert in the field.NTU Department of Engineering NTUScienceTechnology

Happy Lunar New Year to our Chinese Group members at Advanced Optics & Photonics Lab. May the Year of the Dragon be filled with an abundance of smiles and laughter. Lei Xu Cuifeng Ying Ze Zheng

This week, Ziwei Yang Ziwei Yang, affiliated with MetaOptics Australia, and Abbe School of Photonics, Jena Germany, visited AOP group Advanced Optics & Photonics Lab and delivered a fatntastic seminar on "Tunable metasurfaces" at NTU Department of Engineering and NTUScienceTechnology. Thanks Dr Lei Xu Lei Xu for inviting him.

Congratulations to Cuifeng Ying Cuifeng Ying (from NTU Department of Engineering and Advanced Optics & Photonics Lab) and Gaurav Sapra Gaurav Sapra (from Panjab University Panjab University, Chandigarh), for securing the prestigious UK-India UKIERI funding. Looking forward to fostering NTU-PU collaborations. NTU Department of Engineering NTUScienceTechnology

I'm attending the Plasmonica Summer School in the picturesque city of Como (Italy), organised by SIOF-Plasmonica. The content delivered by the lecturers is amazing, providing a perfect wrap-up to my PhD journey. Also, I had a chance to present my poster :) Advanced Optics & Photonics Lab

Congratulations to Mr Saaman Zargarbashi Saaman from Advanced Optics & Photonics Lab, NTU Department of Engineering for receiving the 1st presentation award on his panel at NTUScienceTechnology Annual Research (STAR) conference for PhD students. Saaman is a 2nd year PhD student funded by Nottingham BBSRC DTP Nottingham BBSRC DTP.

We are proud to see that Advanced Optics & Photonics Lab's PhD student (Mahya_Assadi) from NTU Department of Engineering was selected to chair an entire session, and also to judge the posters at NTU's Research conference for PhD students 2024. Exciting to see her professional growth. Well done Mahya.

Congratulations to @Arman_AOP , Cuifeng Ying and the co-workers for publishing their latest results at ACS Nano. This is a large step forward to fully understand Feritin's behaviour.
