Happy to share our new work on the activation energy of biomolecular condensates that appeared today Science Advances with our collaborator The PotoyanGroup Yep, measuring the energy barrier for condensate network reconfiguration tells a telling story. science.org/doi/full/10.11…

New preprint from the lab, spearheaded by superstar grad student Tharun Selvam Mahendran Gable Wadsworth We report repeat RNAs spontaneously undergo age-dependent percolation transitions inside multi-component protein-nucleic acid condensates. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

In this work, we (including ‘Gable Wadsworth Anurag Singh Priya R. Banerjee ) report that biomolecular condensates act as sites for the homotypic aggregation of repeat RNAs, e.g., TERRA, CAG, G4C2, and CUG repeats, as a function of condensate age. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Out today at Nature Communications In collaboration with our awesome UB colleague, Sangwoo Shin, we report how ion gradients control the formation, localization, and transport of biomolecular condensates. nature.com/articles/s4146…

Our work on how diffusiophoresis affects the phase separation and transport of condensates is out now at Nature Communications.
