Millions of Muslims make the journey to Mecca for the Hajj pilgrimage each year, and I’m glad to have caught Shehab Khan ITV’s moving documentary on his journey tonight in Parliament, hosted by Anum Qaisar.

I look forward to leading The SNP in this election. This is the moment to remove the Tory Govt and put Scotland First by voting SNP. People in Scotland know we stand up for them and protect them from the damage done by Westminster. #voteSNP 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The arsonists last night destroyed a Citizens Advice Bureau. For those outside the UK, that's a place where the British public, particularly low income or disadvantaged communities, get free legal advice and support. Staff are devastated. "We're protecting our community"

That hotel in Rotherham is not housing illegal migrants. It is housing asylum seekers. People who have fled from danger hoping the UK would be a place of safety, and are now surrounded by murderous thugs trying to burn them alive. Get it right, journalists. Tell the truth.

Aftermath of violence in Tamworth shows how a mob smashed their way into a hotel used by asylum seekers, tried to set fire to it with them and staff inside. Petrol bombs, fireworks, bricks and other missiles were thrown at police. The building is covered in racist graffiti. Good Morning Britain

🚨 NEW: Told that Starmer will not be removing the whip from Tamworth MP Sarah Edwards for Tamworth who doxxed a hotel that was accommodating refugees in her own constituency which was set fire to by feral far right thugs. Suspensions remain in place for MPs voting against child poverty.

We invited the Home Secretary to join the programme this afternoon. She wasn't available, despite being interviewed by her husband on television this morning. I'm covering Times Radio Drive until 7pm.

Disappointment doesn't begin to cover how I feel about a Minister and backbench MSP from my party meeting Israel's Depute Ambassador. In the midst of a genocide it is unconscionable and lends legitimacy to the action's of Netenyahu's government.

Regardless of the intent the pictures speak a thousand words. Language & tone used in tweets around what "Israel hopes to achieve in Gaza" is deeply troubling. I hope much soul searching is going on today at all levels.

Forty thousand plus dead in Gaza and you tweet this. You are not fit for public office. You are an embarrassment and not fit to represent anyone. You glorify killing and murder with your obtuse comment. Just go and do it now.

I am deeply shocked and saddened at the untimely death of the former First Minister Alex Salmond and I extend my deepest condolences to Alex’s wife Moira and to his family. (1/3)

Alex worked tirelessly and fought fearlessly for the country that he loved and for her Independence. He took the Scottish National Party from the fringes of Scottish politics into Government and led Scotland so close to becoming an Independent country. (2/3)

There will be much more opportunity to reflect in the coming days, but today all of our thoughts are with Alex’s family, and his many friends and right across the political spectrum. (3/3)
