...You can have all the wingers and creative midfielders in the world but without a focal point to score the chances you are not going to win games, its not rocket science, Mendonca, Hunt, Johansson, Euell, D. Bent, Kermogant, Ahearne-Grant and Taylor are just a few examples.

So with BG telling the SLP that it's unlikely we'll bring in another centre forward before the transfer window closes was anyone else under the illusion that TS was going to provide a squad capable of blowing the league out the water and that we had one of the largest....

Anthony Green (@anttheaddick) 's Twitter Profile Photo

.... budgets in the league. The five-year plan seems like a pipe dream. TS needs to be asked what has happened to sell on fees the club has received recently? Why there hasn't been any SIGNIFICANT investment in the squad in terms of transfer fees paid out....

Anthony Green (@anttheaddick) 's Twitter Profile Photo

.... especially when he himself said we have one of the biggest budgets in the league. Can he explain the business and football reasons behind paying a fee for a player with know injury issues we let go for free just a few months before? Nobody has a set big enough to ask them

It was Pep that took Sterling aside and explained the importance of wingers getting into the penalty area, so with Rak-Sakyi, Kirk and Leaburn scoring tonight is Ben Garner a poor man's Pep? or is Pep a poor man's Ben Garner?

Anthony Green (@anttheaddick) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Lets not be under any illusions, while Ben Garner has us playing some great football and both he and players deserve huge credit, in terms of ownership all it does is paper over the cracks. Tonight was for Olly Groome

Yet again it seems us Charlton Athletic FC have had the wool pulled over our eyes by an owner with disillusions of grandure. We sold Mason Burstow, we had the money from the sell on clauses of Pope and Aribo but yet there's no budget (1/2)

Anthony Green (@anttheaddick) 's Twitter Profile Photo

2/2 We have fan advisors that were interviewed and appointed by TS. It is claimed they are our voice but yet we had no say in their appointment. On top of that loyal long serving Charlton people are loosing their jobs left, right and centre....

Anthony Green (@anttheaddick) 's Twitter Profile Photo

... And if that wasn't enough we've gone from finishing 7th to 13th in League One and we've seen a squad get increasingly stretched. Not to mention the questionable decision to resign an injury prone player we let go for nothing. It looks like we've been had again.

(1/2) Surely the best way for Thomas Sandgaard to reach his target of breaking even is to reduce ticket prices and get more bums on seats which would generate more revenue from refreshment, programme and merchandise sales....

Anthony Green (@anttheaddick) 's Twitter Profile Photo

(2/2) Pricing people out of their escapism when many are struggling with the cost of living crisis is not a sound strategy.

On a positive note, Ben Garner's honesty is refreshing and he has us playing some really attractive football and what's more he's a "Souf Londoner" Also Albie Morgan looks to be in the form of his life and Jeserun Rak-Sakyi, will have many full backs on toast in this league.

Looks like another snooze fest on transfer deadline day at Charlton Athletic FC. Macauley Bonne in the mix basically means we haven't even decided who we're going for. The recruitment team caught with their pants down yet again.

Anthony Green (@anttheaddick) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Spot on, the rnecruitemen strategy and. Excuses coming out of the club are a joke. This has b e en one of the worst transfer windows I''ve ever seen, congratulations Thomas.

I wonder how many points TS, Ms and SG's inadequacy will cost, Charlton Athletic FC between now and January, The reality is we are now minnows in a big pond, heartbreaking.
