That's a wrap on five years at UNSWπnow only another four more to go! Huge thanks to the awesome Crossley Lab crew for all their support along the way π
I did my first conference presentation on my research on eosinophils in beige fat today at #ASMRMRW2022! Thanks The Australian Society for Medical Research (ASMR) for the exciting opportunity π UNSW Biotechnology & Biomolecular Sciences
Iβm happy to be attending the The Australian Society for Medical Research (ASMR) NSW Scientific Meeting today #ASMRNSWASM2023. Weβve got great lab representation, with Mahdi Haddad & Anthea Lee having just presented their posters & Annalise Psaila & Michael O'Dea presenting talks in the next session! UNSW Biotechnology & Biomolecular Sciences
It was a fun challenge condensing a TITINic topic π into a bite-sized piece in the UNSW Science 1MT competition today! Thank you for the prize, and a huge congratulations to all the other amazing speakers!
Titin: more than a myth or a moon. This protein is essential for your muscles to function. If you're interested in how we could help muscle disease patients who don't have enough titin, have a chat with me at poster 396 now and on Friday! International Congress of Genetics 2023 #ICG2023
Fascinating talk by Dr Avnika Ruparelia about how ageing impacts muscles and lipid metabolism, using African killifish as a model organism. Why does ageing reverse in these fish (and other creatures!) when they reach late life? A research journey to keep an eye on π International Congress of Genetics 2023 #ICG2023
Fantastic to hear about Anthea Lee's #PhD research to develop improved gene therapies for patients with titinopathy #UNSW UNSW Science Anthea Lee #research
Tonight Iβm at the UNSW Graduate Research School 3 Minute Thesis Finals & am very proud of Anthea Lee who did a wonderful job presenting her PhD project in just 3 minutes! Thank you for being a great ambassador for the lab & the excellent cohort of UNSW Biotechnology & Biomolecular Sciences PhD candidates, Anthea! π€π» for the win!
Super impressed with the variety of #research and calibre of everyone's presentations UNSW Graduate Research School #3MT competition tonight! What a great challenge to be a part of. Congrats to all the finalists and winners π #PhD #UNSW
I had a great time telling the story of titin, muscle disorders, and CRISPR activation at #BMH2024 today. Thank you Biomolecular Horizons 2024 for the amazing opportunity to present to a group of very talented scientists in the gene editing field!
Cuttlefish and seahorses and jellyfish, oh my! I had a great time hanging out with the lab at the Biomolecular Horizons 2024 conference social event at SEA LIFE Melbourne last night. We even saw Pesto, the huge baby penguin! Itβs a bit sad that the conference is almost over! @unswbabs
Congratulations to Anthea Lee on her excellent presentation at the ANZOS 2024 Annual Scientific Meeting today! Iβm speaking later in this session & this will be a hard act to follow! UNSW Biotechnology & Biomolecular Sciences
And as always it was great to hear Prof Kate Quinlan summarise the amazing work that the lab has done over the years π§βπ¬ super clear presentation!
