During this pandemic I lost my mother to QAnon conspiracy theories. She's not even American but she kept bringing up how Donald Trump was the world's saviour and everyone else was a pedophile nazi in every single discussion.

Mother update: she said she'll be there for me" when I see reason", i.e. when I believe in the same conspiracy theories she does. Conditional love from parents, in a nutshell. And the realisation I grovelled for her affection my whole life.
