Our 'Decolonising Development Geographies' Workshop was off to a great start this morning, with a fantastic keynote by Nikita Sud 🙌 Nikita spoke about the frontierisation of the energy transition in Rempang, Indonesia, highlighting how frontiers are processes, not facts 💡


The morning of our Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) 'Decolonising Development Geographies' workshop concluded with participants discussing what #decolonising means to them, in research, teaching and wider practice, and what the challenges and tensions are of this endeavour in #development #geographies


We're now hearing a fantastic variety of Latin American Approaches to Decolonising Development Geographies from Brazil, Ecuador, Chile and Argentina. It's a great line-up of speakers brought together by our Latin American Geographies-UK colleagues Aline Fernandes Barata Pietra Cepero Rua Perez
