Our work on an artificial photosynthetic system powered by InP QD for the perpetual synthesis of chemicals is out in ACS Catalysis. Effective shuttling of redox cofactors between light & dark cycles was the key. Congrats Indra Narayan Chakraborty, Vanshika & Pradyut pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

Plasmonic NPs are usually poor solar-to-electricity converters. We say they aren’t; not using electrons, but with plasmonic heat. We have developed plasmon-powered STEGs with a record efficiency of ~11.5%. Now out in Nano Letters. Congrats Radha Krishna Kashyap pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

Three PhD Positions are available in my research group on Colloidal Nanomaterial Design. Details about the PhDs and the application process can be found here singhgroupul.ie/?page_id=435 Deadline: 20th May 2024. Please retweet. We continue our efforts in developing all-InP QD based light harvesters. This time we show ‘ligand-directed FRET process’ between green and red emitting InP QDs in solution and solid states - now out in Applied Physics Letters. Congrats @Mr_Lumens & Adhra Sury pubs.aip.org/aip/apl/articl…

🚦🚦🚦B R E A K I N G N E W S 🚦🚦🚦 We've just published the preliminary program for the next Gordon Research Conferences on Plasmonically Powered Processes 2025! I cannot be happier and prouder for such a diverse & groundbreaking line-up! 🙏Thanks all! grc.org/plasmonically-…

PhD positions are available in our group IISER Pune. Details of our work can be found at pramodpillai.com. If you are interested in our research on light-matter interaction at nanoscale, please apply via iiserpune.ac.in/education/admi…. Apply under physical chemistry experiment

A semiartificial colloidal Z-Scheme: follow the electrons from water-to-O2 to CO2-to-formate ⬆️↘️⬆️☀️ Great work on enzymatic #solar-driven #CO2 reduction by Yongpeng Liu and Ariffin Bin Mohamad Annuar, now out in J. Am. Chem. Soc.. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja…

I had a great time at #SoPhyC24 IIT Bombay and was thrilled to receive the Best Poster Award. It was also a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with friends and professors from my master's at IIT Guwahati after a long time.

Quantum dots (QDs) continue to surprise us in photocatalysis. This time, InP QDs enable ammonia synthesis with light — advancing beyond the Haber-Bosch process. Now out in J. Am. Chem. Soc.. A tremendous effort by Vanshika Jain Shreya Tyagi Pradyut Roy #SERB shorturl.at/HbyZc

Day 1 of #Chemsymphoria2024: Kicking off an exciting journey! Here's a sneak peek of our first day. Stay tuned for more as we explore the world of chemistry! IISER Pune CHEMIISERP Pramod Pillai Akshay Chauhan Sauvik Saha Shifali Dutt ZainabKhan

Excited to have been part of Chemsymphoria, our in-house symposium! I am deeply grateful to the incredible Chemphilic team for providing me with the wonderful opportunity to present my work to such an inspiring scientific community. IISER Pune CHEMIISERP

IIT-Bombay and IISER Pune designated as research hubs under national initiative IIT Bombay and IISER Pune named Hubs under #ANRF, receiving ₹100 crore for research. Focus on multidisciplinary collaboration and innovation in India. hindustantimes.com/cities/mumbai-… DSTIndia Abhay Karandikar

What the fuck is wrong with people? How can you just assault anyone for a random reason, knowing that the person is a sensitive patient? Abhishek was my labmate throughout my PhD at IISER Pune and a brilliant scientist. He just got killed for a random reason.

#IISERPune team participated in ChemExpo India 2025 held in Mumbai during April 29–30 showcasing our academic programmes, research, and innovation in #ChemicalSciences. As a major platform highlighting Indian and global capabilities in the chemical industry, the ChemExpo event

Our recent Perspective highlights the power of combining artificial light harvesting systems with natural enzymes for achieving perpetual chemical synthesis. We thank the Editors of Chemical Science for this opportunity. A great effort by Vanshika Jain pubs.rsc.org/en/content/art…
