We managed a whole 2 days with two “fully functional” hospitals in our province. Even with that complement of anesthesiology, PCH still lacks an MRI suite, EEG services, and 24h surgical services, as well as other health programs. But yknow, vote blue 😬

The “appropriate actions” being 2 weeks of unpaid leave for the staff involved. You need to try pretty damn hard to be properly disciplined as a frontline worker around here it seems. cbc.ca/news/canada/pr…

Confirmed today by Health PEI Dr. Alexander McKinnon and Dr. Thor Christensen have submitted resignations from their family practice positions in Montague. Dr. Christensen will leave his practice in late May. Dr. McKinnon will leave his practice in late June. #PEI #healthcare

I don’t think some people over 40 understand how fed up millennials & gen z truly are. There is no future for us. We have been used as political bargaining chips our entire lives while getting nothing in return. There is historical precedent to where this will eventually lead.

The largest hospital in P.E.I. - the QEH - is currently overcapacity and warning of extra long waits for patients not in need of urgent care. The ER at Kings County Memorial Hospital closed early today. The Gov't of PEI website has been down since yesterday.
