Together with Minister Zapryanov, we honored the memory of over 13,000 Romanian soldiers who rest on Bulgarian soil. At the Romanian Heroes Monument in Sofia, we paid tribute to their sacrifice, fighting side by side with 🇧🇬  soldiers for freedom and independence.

Împreună cu ambasadorul Italiei 🇮🇹 în România, ES Alfredo Maria Durante Mangoni, am participat la ceremonia de certificare a detașamentului Forțelor Aeriene Italiene pentru executarea, timp de patru luni, a misiunilor de Poliție Aeriană Întărită în zona de sud a #NATO.

At NATO Headquarters in Brussels, I joined defence ministers from 30 countries for the Coalition of the Willing meeting, an important discussion in support of 🇺🇦. Romania, with its strategic position on the Eastern Flank, remains committed to supporting a just and lasting peace.

Am fost onorat să particip la deschiderea conferinței științifice internaționale „Strategii XXI“. Cercetarea, inovația și dezvoltarea de noi tehnologii sunt vitale pentru adaptarea structurilor de apărare și securitate la noile provocări.

I met, in Brussels, with 🇪🇺 High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas. We discussed continued support for Ukraine and R. Moldova, the strategic importance of the #BlackSea, and strengthening the european defence.

I had a productive meeting with Roberta Metsola Roberta Metsola. We discussed the 🇪🇺 Parliament crucial role in supporting a strong EU defense and security vision, the strategic importance of the Black Sea region & 🇷🇴 commitment to EU missions such as #EUFORAlthea and #EUTMRCA

I welcomed my 🇳🇱 counterpart Ruben Brekelmans at the 86th Air Base in Fetesti. We reaffirmed our commitment to #NATO&stronger defense ties. We emphasized the success of the #F16 training center in 🇷🇴, that will continue train pilots and, in addition, maintenance technicians.

Today, I had a productive meeting with Turkish Deputy Minister of Defence, Mr. Şuay Alpay. We discussed #BlackSea security&bilateral cooperation. Romania 🇷🇴 and Turkey 🇹🇷 remain strategic partners in strengthening allied defense and stability.

I welcomed my Bulgarian 🇧🇬 counterpart, Mr. Atanas Zapryanov, for an official bilateral meeting. We reaffirmed our commitment to strengthening our defense cooperation and ensuring a strong #NATO Eastern Flank.

I welcomed my Belgian 🇧🇪 counterpart, Theo Francken, at the 71st Air Base Câmpia Turzii. We discussed the security situation in the #BlackSea, the impact of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, and strengthening #NATO’s eastern flank.
