today I caught turtle 582 , nicknamed "squishy", b/c he has a massive dent in his right-side. maybe had a run-in with a mower years ago (despite being about 1 km from mowed grass), or munched by a predator that never finished the job.

this is about the most male box turtle you'll ever see. Has all of the male-associated characteristics (red eyes, etc). also wants to kick your ass.
