During WW2 Sheila Pantin joined the ATS as an army ambulance driver. In 1945, she was among the first women to enter Bergen-Belsen after its liberation, helping care for starving survivors. 🫡 ❤️ Source: Yorkshire Post & The Stray Ferret

A lovely Moroccan Ramadan evening here in Rabat yesterday. Iftar meal with family (Mouima’s harira). Strolled to Masjid Taqwa for the last set of Tarawih prayers. Then a nighttime wander round the bustling medina, treating ourselves to three new, blue djellabas to celebrate

BREAKING: In an outrageous moment, Trump once again blames Ukraine for the war that Russia started. "You don't start a war against somebody that's 20 times your size and then hope that people give you some missiles." This is peak gaslighting.

Proud of my 101-year-old Great Aunt Sheila, particularly today, 80 years after the liberation of #BergenBelsen concentration camp, where she looked after the women and girls who had survived. Her stories of their humanity, despite everything, are a truly humbling source of hope.
