There is no AI economy. It loses hundreds of billions of dollars and all gains are in speculative valuation. The only one making a profit is Nvidia, and it doesn’t make anything. It resells Taiwanese chips to companies that use them to lose money.

One of the ugly secrets of higher education in the military is that for years (especially in the 90s), the war colleges were basically retirement homes for officers who could double-dip and make big money with their salary + pension. They hated being replaced by actual PhDs. /1
