Appreciate the sentiment here, but Scotland aren’t in the World Cup because they expanded the number of teams. They’re in the World Cup because they qualified as a group winner and earned their spot the hard way.

I really wanted to believe in Nancy’s appointment, but what the hell are we doing here. Schmeichel starting again. Ralston starting again. Some weird back-three formation with McCowan and Yang playing as wingbacks? Bernardo getting a start is positive, at least.

Hard for anyone to disagree with this now. I have a little sympathy for Nancy given the state of the squad, but almost every decision he has made in this 8 game run has been wrong. Call it stubbornness, arrogance or inexperience, either way, it’s been failure after failure.

Ultimately, I do feel bad for Nancy. He was dealt a tough hand, but made it 10x worse for himself over the course of a disastrous few weeks. Just kept saying and doing all the wrong things. Tisdale shipped off as well. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
