Startups have become normal paths for ambitious people, unquestionably a good thing, and much better than the native Asian default of two or three quasi-government megacorps. Freaks and dreamers will move to new forms of organization, and further drive the west forward

This is the opposite of what’s true. Transhumanism is a higher level of abstraction in the same chain of liberalism that gave us the rights of man and “we hold these truths to be self evident” Transhumanism is a natural continuation of perfectly comparable with Americanism

I think we are all underestimating the distribution of dollars and the effect going to a purely free market. Whether you like the fed or us gov, it is a control mechanism that provides buffering. Without that mechanism, big players are going to outsized amounts of control
