Dr. Agata Szczeszak's NAWA Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange project with Université Paris-Saclay enters a new level. Now we can analyze #nanoparticles for use in #anticancer #radiotherapy. It is incredible to do science within the walls of the Institut Curie, which was created thanks to Maria Skłodowska-Curie.

Bonjour from @ismolab.bsky.social in France 🇫🇷 Agata Szczeszak and Natalia Jurga are continuing research on the toxicity of nanoparticles to human cells. Additionally, Agata Szczeszak gave a lecture about our excellent nanoparticles. We hope it will be a fruitful visit!

We are proud to present our results published in Scientific Reports! Dominika Przybylska, Tomasz Grzyb, Agata Szczeszak obtained #nanoparticles with unique #luminescence properties useful for #anticounterfeiting nature.com/articles/s4159…

Today we had the pleasure of listening to a lecture "Nanoparticles: exquisite tools to improve radiation based therapies" by Dr Erika Porcel - our guest from the @ismolab.bsky.social We keep our fingers crossed for progress in this promising direction! #nanoparticles #radiotherapy

Last week we had the pleasure of hosting scientists from Masaryk University. It was a fruitful time! In addition, we listened to a lecture by Prof. Zdenek Farka about immunochemical #biosensors and #assays. We are happy with our cooperation and hope it will be successful!

Here it is - our collaborative work with Masaryk University scientists 😊 Our publication presents #nanoparticles with intense infrared-to-ultraviolet #upconversion. Useful for immunological tests, SARS-CoV-2 detection, and deep tissue therapy. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Our latest paper details the first organic multimodal sensor characterized under both varied temperature and pressure conditions. A collaboration between UAM labs (@DMC_amu & AMU Department of Rare Earths) and Matter at Extremes. 🧪🔬 #MaterialsChemistry #Optoelectronics doi.org/10.1039/D3TC01…

In their new Nanoscale article, Tomasz Grzyb, Inocencio Martín and Radian Popescu AMU Department of Rare Earths report the use of energy looping between Tm³⁺ and Er³⁺ ions to obtain an intense upconversion under the 1208 nm radiation and its use in temperature sensing 👇 pubs.rsc.org/en/Content/Art…

In their Nanoscale cover article, Tomasz Grzyb and colleagues AMU Department of Rare Earths explore the up-conversion of low-energy photons from the near-infrared range through a looping mechanism between Tm³⁺ and Er³⁺ ions in NaYF₄ nanoparticles 👇 pubs.rsc.org/en/content/art…

Persistent luminescence materials emit light after UV or Vis excitation. Upconverting nanoparticles change this by converting NIR light to UV, recharging the PersL phosphors. Check more in our new article with @UGentLumiLab and Universidad de La Laguna at doi.org/10.1039/D4TC01…
