Care homes that fail to meet standards or severely breach regulation will be closed by the Care Quality Commission But how often does it happen? To what homes? In The Lancet Healthy Longevity (doi.org/10.1016/S2666-…): 804 out of 816 enforcement-related closed homes (2011-2023) were for-profit.
