Ok good bet schools are closed tomorrow. I think smaller districts like DC and places that get less snow to the north COULD have school on Thursday with a delay or normal opening. We should be back to normal by Friday *if* the kids have school (Presidents' Day on Monday).

We’re halfway to peak bloom! The NPS declared stage three today, which is floret extension. Next up, peduncle elongation. guess when you think peak bloom will be in our cherry blossom challenge on nbcwashington.com.

Stage 4, peduncle elongation! Peak bloom still looks to be March 28 - April 3. Today is our last day in the 70s for the next ten, so this will slow the progression down. Make your peak bloom projection on nbcwashington.com
