In Cider producing Counties like Shropshire, the Orchard is said to be protected by the personification of nature; contained in the Oldest Apple tree. He is The Apple man, a spirit who provides potent & fertile energy to the land and is wassailed every winter for his bounty.

Yes! I’m an avid reader, and audiobooks are an excellent way to fit more reading into my schedule. Look forward to listening (assuming I don’t get through my current bedside pile before the audiobook is released).

The stillness of the morning, the rustle of the leaves, the scent of essential oils and the murmuring of poetry. #druid #bard #druidry

Fascinated by Aidan Wachter’s description of dirt sorcery as a form of rewilding. It aligns well with work I’ve been exploring on approaches to voice and movement.

For those who want to pronounce β€œMabon” in it’s Welsh pattern (and assuming you’re familiar with IPA Phonetics), it’s /ˈmΓ¦.bΙ’n/ #swot #druid #bard

Hanging out in our little patch of garden on this hottest of hot days listening to Damh the Bard β€˜s last House Concert (41). Coffee, crafts and some idle poetry. Sorry we can’t make it to Glasto today Dave!

I'm so honoured to have been published in Issue 6 of the Coire Ansic 😍. My article "Fearsome & Feathered Friends" explores the role of Geese within myth & Lore. From the Egyptians all the way to Shropshire folklore as well as delving into the connections with Mother Goose

Only 2 more days to go until I present my Christmas talk at Soulton Hall. The Welsh Marches have so magic to offer, especially at this liminal time of year. Grab your tickets & come join me as we explore the joy & enchantment of the festive season eventbrite.co.uk/e/winter-solst…

The land remembers. It reminisces over bygone ages & mourns for its soil saturated in Spirits that have been lost to turbulent times. Today marks the anniversary of the battle of Shrewsbury in 1403. This is the first of my tweets surrounding its history, lore & prophecy
