This was initially an issue for me at my job when I donated. Luckily I had a wonderful HR rep who knew how important the mission was and worked with me to make it happen. It would've been so much easier if I hadn't had to worry about it at all though!

Just dropped off info to Rep. Juan Vargas's office about H.R. 7770 - a bill that would federally protect 40 hr of marrow donor leave as part of FMLA! Thanks to Antonio who was there to chat w/ me about it! I treated myself afterwards to some Tacos El Gordo & Senorita Bread!

Today is the 11th anniversary of my marrow donation to this lovely lady, Jessica! How amazing that those cells have been working so well for so long already! I'm so grateful @BeTheMatch made it possible for me to help Jess and change her/her family's lives. Here's to many more!
