Hey #ISEE2021 attendees, if you are interested in #streetview imagery collected over space and time and #deeplearning methods to characterise #urban environments and activities, head over to poster P-098 ! Worked on this paper for >3 yrs so happy it is published! We modelled & predicted BP & BMI for 10% of all women in #Accra Ghana & mapped trends at the small-area level within the city to assess #inequalities using #bayesian spatial models 🧵Raphael E Arku, ScD Günther Fink

Can #streetviewimagery predict #airpollution in #London, #Vancouver & NYC? Are these models transferable to Hong Kong & #Accra? Esra Suel & co from Imperial School of Public Health University of British Columbia NASA et al answer these Qs in new paper mdpi.com/2072-4292/14/1…. Happy to have contributed a small part to this 🧵

Latest paper from my PhD at Imperial School of Public Health with Pathways to Equitable Healthy Cities has been published on spatial modelling of environmental #noise in #Accra Ghana. We also looked at how noise exposures were patterned unequally across the city by neighbourhood SES 🧵 sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Sierra Clark presents on the why and how of sensor network operation and data for mapping air and noise pollution, with lessons learned from Pathways to Equitable Healthy Cities work in Accra, Ghana #PathwaysICUH #ICUH22

In #Accra, Pathways to Equitable Healthy Cities implemented a large-sensor network to gather data on air pollution, urban sounds, meteorology, and street-view #imagery (for #pollution source identification) implemented over 1 year in 2019/2020. Core sites from the network are still running today.

New paper alert! What we can see in the urban environment around us provides a wealth of information on social, environmental & mobility factors impacting urban health. But these visual cues are currently an untapped resource🏙️ Sierra Clark Ricky Nathvani nature.com/articles/s4159…
