While it's understandable for a father to support his son, the president's authority should extend beyond personal ties. Thousands of individuals in federal prison, many of whom have demonstrated rehabilitation and a desire for change, deserve clemency. apnews.com/article/biden-…

For too long, Arizona’s prisons have needed an outside watchdog to improve safety, efficiency, transparency, and accountability. We’re honored to be working with Republican Shawnna Bolick on SB 1507 to make prison oversight a reality in Arizona this year.

Despite the criticism and misinformation the CA Senate Approves SB 672 in 24–11 vote. SB672 would include some individuals serving LWOP a chance to go to the parole board after their 25th year who committed their crimes between the ages of 18 & under 26 years old.

SB 672 is a step towards a more just system, aligning CA law with modern neuroscience that recognizes brain development continues into the mid-20s. It provides a review, not guaranteed release, through a rigorous, proven parole process. #PassSB672 Senator Susan Rubio National LWOP Leadership Council
