This is a bit of a silly headline. I'm delighted they are praying together, but can anyone name any pre-Reformation Kings of Britain who prayed with Popes? Indeed, who met a pope. bbc.com/news/articles/…

I keep hearing the media say that a British King is praying with the Pope for the first time in 500 years/since the reformation. NO King BEFORE the Reformation prayed with the Pope either.

I was so encouraged to hear that Neville Watson, Reform’s only Black branch chair, has chosen to speak out — guided by his Christian convictions — against his party’s anti-immigrant stance. In his own words, Neville recognised that some voices in politics are “stoking a fire”

I could just about argue that, given Mr Winsdor denies all else, he might be guilty of no more than bad judgement in remaining friends with Epstein. But this? This is corruption pure and simple. As the King said "these censures are deemed necessary". bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Important to remember that the Assisted Dying bill was in no one’s manifesto, had inadequate scrutiny in the commons, passed with a much reduced majority at 3rd reading, is attracting increasing opposition from experts and that Lords have the right and duty to scrutinise it well.

Beautiful that you can pray in Jerusalem, Mr. Ambassador. However, as we approach the advent, please think of the thousands of Christians in the West Bank and Gaza who are not allowed to pray in Jerusalem and who live under the daily terror of the Israeli occupation.

Sadly, this is exactly right. The NHS now hires one in six of Nigeria’s doctors - and Nigeria needs them. Yet we turn away thousands of kids with A-stars galore who want to be doctors. The waste of talent - of human capital - is quite something. thetimes.com/article/d4534d…
