Mumbles this evening. Beautiful colours from the sky and city lights. Can't believe that a mobile phone can take a night shot like this, hand-held. They've come a long way in recent years! ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ“ท

I'm not sure why, but there's a greater appeal to a book shop in the autumn. I reckon if I went to Hay-on-Wye right now I'd be in heaven. Wonderful places, book shops (and libraries) ๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ

Outdoorsy people; anyone had any experience of buying a Rab Ridge Raider bivvy online? It regularly pops up in favourable Trail magazine reviews but it never seems to be in stock anywhere! Thank you.

A new record by The Beatles is released tomorrow, based on a poor audio-quality demo that Lennon recorded at his home in the late 70s. The demo tape had "For Paul" written on it. The teasing glimpse of Lennon's crystal-clear voice is astonishing... youtu.be/APJAQoSCwuA?siโ€ฆ

A lovely evening of light and shadow in the Brecon Beacons; the light concentrated in to a slither before it faded completely. You never really know what light and shadow will do. The best you can do is show up and try to capture it as best you can!

Marloes Sands, Sir Benfro. An almost Icelandic-feeling beach in certain weather conditions. It's a stunning place! The miracle of photography; a still image can convey so much movement in water.

Bit of a Christmas Eve tradition to watch The Gruffalo's Child before bed. A wonderful little film, perfecltly capturing the beautiful, inexplicably haunting atmosphere of a snowy woodland. A shame our weather is 12ยฐc, wet and windy currently. Feels much less festive โ„๏ธ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ท๓ ฌ๓ ณ๓ ฟ

Christmas 2023 in the south of the UK; another mild, dull, wet and windy affair. Seems to be a regular pattern with December, which is a shame. I'll go back to work next week and it'll be frosty with blue skies. Can almost guarantee it.

After a long spell of generally awful weather it seems that winter is finally waking up. This very short selection of clips (no sound) were from a morning up the Glyderau in Eryri/Snowdonia, about three years ago.

There's an old poem (of Irish origin) that has a wonderful sentiment to it. My favourite lines are; "May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back." I hope everyone has a wonderful 2025 x

An evening wander around Llandeilo. (not something I've ever done). Very quiet as you'd expect. Dinner in The Cawdor was lovely though. Jon Pountney would do this building far greater justice than my average attempt.

I had a very brief Twitter exchange with Val Kilmer a few years ago. He'd posted a photo of himself reflected in a city street window, at night, in the pouring rain. I replied to his pic - "Batman!". He replied a few minutes later; "No, Wetman!" ๐Ÿ˜†
