I am shocked I tell you Beerhunters TA

There's a tour next Tues eve of footballers in Dundonald cemetery, which may appeal to anyone interested in local history and local football. May be the kind of thing that local media might pick up on.. Mark Simpson Details here - eventbrite.co.uk/e/footballing-…

Hard to believe this, but on Friday the Scottish FA will be supporting Football's Square Mile Day. That's the same Football's Square Mile who are so inept that their plaque to mark the founding of the SFA is in the wrong place: footballssquaremile.com/sfabirthplace

Scottish FA The FSM people got the building wrong, and the address wrong. The correct version is on my blog: scottishsporthistory.com/sports-history… And there's more... /

Scottish FA The Football's Square Mile website is riddled with mistakes and false claims. Site 1 is linked to Alexander Watson Hutton's birthplace, saying he was born there in 1852. It was 1853. They are supposed to be 'historians' but even basic dates are wrong. /

Scottish FA How about Site 4, Drygate Brewery. A football history site? Er, no. Football fans like to drink beer, apparently. /

Scottish FA Site 14, the Rose Reilly pub. A football legend, for sure, but the FSM website gets the basic facts about her career all wrong. /

Scottish FA There are claims throughout the FSM site which don't stand up to scrutiny, which are demonstrably false, which make exaggerated claims, yet the Scottish FA continue to support these charlatans.

Andy Mitchell Scottish FA I look on agog... so frustrating when the 'official' folks can't see that which is obvious... even worse if they don't care... 🙄
