#Intel Developer cloud will expand. Today avail in limited beta, but will expand that significantly over time. As part of this trial, company is putting some of its newest products on the cloud. #IntelInnovation2022

At #ocw22, the company's multicloud strategy is front and center. Strategy itself is good, first implementation is the #Azure - #OCI connection. Bidirectionality will follow. But the name itself may be wrong. This is "intercloud" computing more than multicloud computing.

#MSFT Q1FY23 results show the growth again muted by currency exchange rate headwinds, with a 6-7% negative impact. Despite that, growth was 10.6% and +$4.8B year over year. A lot of software companies would love to see their business grow by $4.8B for one quarter y-over-y.

#MSFT's news of 10,000 job cuts will be better understood when we see Q2 results. MSFT is coming off of 5 years of incredible growth; my guess is this is more about re-balancing staffing for the next round of opportunities, than a pure cost reduction move. blogs.microsoft.com/blog/2023/01/1…

#MSFT Q2 FY23 ... currency headwinds remain; perf of Productivity and Business Process, Intelligent Cloud reasonably good. More Personal Computing, on the other hand, offset gains in other biz @ 19% down actual (-6% c-currency). Overall rev up by 2%. microsoft.com/en-us/Investor…

Is it OK for me to say, "Whew, FINALLY?" Funny how the tech industry has a way of forcing bitter rivals into partners over time. This is a smart move for both companies - they have a lot of shared customers. redhat.com/en/about/press…

Microsoft 365 Copilot looks really interesting, and potentially a real time saver. However, it depends upon customers being (and remaining) a committed Microsoft shop. Competitors may find this to be challenging for them.
