One of my 'most wanted' patch birds arrived today. I was walking across this grass when a Corncrake flushed & flew right past me before dropping into cover again. Superb bin views, too quick for the camera unfortunately. A flappy dangly rusty winged beauty ! Bird of the year !

Afternoon over at Flamborough Bird Observatory dipping the Eastern Olivaceous Warbler in the mist, but two Yellow-browed Warblers by the golf course & Red-breasted Flycatcher in the car park were the highlights.

Juv Pallid Harrier u-turned at Warren and now going back north over Kilnsea #spurnbirds RareBirdAlertUK

Found mi'sen a Pallid Harrier over the garden! Stuck my head out of the back door to tell one of the dogs to stop barking, just in time to see the bird as it flew low along the floodbank. Headed back north a few mins later. There will be be better pics 😊 #kilnsea

A great few days down in Norfolk as we do every year. Secured four lifers, Lesser Grey Shrike at Winterton, Barred Warbler at Burnham Overy, YB Warbler at Holme Dunes and American Golden Plover at Titchwell. As well as that all the other amazing fauna... 😀😁
