East loses a close one in a sectional battle against New Prague 5-2. Big game from Riston Wojcik on both sides of the ball: On the bump: 5 inn, 1 ER, 4 Ks At the plate: 3/4, RBI Nicholas Werk stung the ball going 2/4 w/an RBI & Alex Hennis hit streak extends to 5 games.

East makes the long trek to Red Wing for a Saturday DH today. All levels start at 11:00, with second games to follow shortly after. Varsity @ Athletic Field JV @ Anderson Park 9th @ Red Wing High School

The squad is looking forward to tonight’s 7:00 game against cross-town rivals, Mankato West. Come out early for a MAYBA sponsored tailgate party beginning at 6:00 at ISG Field! JV 5:00 @ Wolverton Field (No 9th grade game)

After losing to New Prague 7-2 in gm 1, East ended crosstown rival West’s season in the bottom of the 9th to advance in the elimination bracket of the Section 2AAA Tourney. Dylan Kopesky w/a big 2-run 2B to tie it up in the bottom of the 7th & Caden Hansen w/sac fly to win it!
