Huge thanks to Alexander Kyle for stepping in to conduct on Sunday...gutted I missed Quemadmodum in particular. On the other hand, it's always SO important for choirs to get different perspectives and input.
This was a lovely experience - the whole choir really rising to the challenge in some tricky rep! They're a credit to their usual directing team Tom Leech, David Pipe and David Grealy - delighted I got the chance to steer the ship on this occasion!
Thanks for having me Bradford Festival Choral Society ! A great concert
What a privilege to get to chorus-master Dream of Gerontius with Music at York University Choir. Also brilliant to work properly with @kurisup for the first time, who is just the most musical, on-it accompanist you could ask for

Our summer concert season is almost at an end and what a spectacular manner in which to bring it to a close! 🤩 University of York Choir and Symphony Orchestra delighted our audience, in the luscious acoustics of #YorkMinster, with their rendition of 'The Dream Of Gerontius' ⛪️
So fantastic to have Anthony Gray accompanying us tomorrow eve in Harrogate. Among the pieces he'll be providing "Gershwin continuo" for: Night and Day, Ain't misbehavin', and even a little medley arr me! There's also the small matter of Lili Boulanger Hymne au Soleil...
