Inspired by the recent work of SpaghetMeNot here is my version. I trace the texture onto a 3D plane surface. Then, I use another surface to project the flat mesh onto it. Same idea as the « detail mesh » from Houdini’s game dev tools presented by Paul Ambrosiussen few years ago.
