Two of us would go to UPSL/NPSL games often to get some footy in before going all in for 1904 FC. If ALBION San Diego left NISA and folded? Probably bang the drums for Albion’s UPSL side, try to keep the spirit alive.

One thing to ignore us, but not having Ben Roach as an option is criminal. He’s the best keeper in all San Diego.

We’ve been waiting for an official announcement. One more season would be great considering they’d be the only male professional team for SD in 2024. Be great to build on the previous seasons and get more support. Love it if they can get something done, we still have hope.

All we can do is hope. We’re so proud of the previous teams and grateful to those that put in the work to represent San Diego. If last year was the final season, so be it. We have great memories of being in the stands with all of you. One more season would be a cherry on top.

Looks like there will be a UPSL side again this year! We weren’t 100% sure on that front, so this is good news! It will be great to give the youth side support while the NISA/pro team is on a pause. We welcome all of you to join us in the stands again! ⚪️⚫️🔴🤟

The San Diego soccer “community” is cliquey. Local “journalists” actively refused to cover the team. We never got the respect we deserved. From 1904 FC to now. Instead of ML$, we’re going to continue doing our thing and support the Albion boys in UPSL while the pro team pauses.

We were excited for MLS at first but over time realized it’s not for us. The lower leagues deserve support much more than MLS.

Fair weather, too. San Diego sports fans only care when the league is shiny and the team is winning. COVID didn’t help 1904, but people abandoned the club for USL/Loyal because it was a shinier product. Ignored the Albion transition. Now it’s all about ML$.

The San Diego soccer “community” never gave us time of day. We got shit for trying to keep the 1904 imagery alive. We got nothing but lip service from majority of people. We got every right to be frustrated with what we’ve experienced.

The more ML$ news that comes out, the more vindicated we feel. We refuse to sell our souls to ML$, we’re staying loyal to the lower leagues that actually deserve support. MLS is not the be all, end all of soccer in San Diego. Might just be the death of it. ⚪️⚫️🔴🤟

For a city with an NWSL team, the Women’s Gold Cup attendance at Snapdragon Stadium was awful. Really thought the San Diego NWSL crowd would have stepped up and supported international women’s soccer.

The weekend attendance wasn’t that bad but the announced attendance numbers don’t seem accurate.

Being honest, did not look like that many people. Credit to the Colombians and Brazilians showing up for their NT’s. Others are right about CONCACAF not marketing well though.
