Former President of Switzerland and a candidate for Council of Europe Secretary General, Alain Berset, arrived in Kyiv. 🇺🇦 🤝🇨🇭The focus is on the role of Council of Europe in supporting Ukraine against Russia’s aggression and in ensuring accountability and justice.
Upon his arrival in Kyiv, former President of Switzerland and a candidate for Council of Europe Secretary General, Alain Berset , met with the team of the Council of Europe Office in Ukraine, led by the Head of Office, Maciej Janczak.
As Secretary General, former President of Switzerland Alain Berset will work to give the Council of Europe greater political weight and visibility, keeping Ukraine in the focus of the European agenda.
Today, former Swiss President Alain Berset visited Ukraine as the official candidate of 🇨🇭 for the position of Secretary General of the Council of Europe. In Kyiv, Mr. Berset met with the Speaker of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine - Ukrainian Parliament, the 🇺🇦 delegation to the Council of Europe, MFA of Ukraine 🇺🇦 and Council of Europe Office in Ukraine.
