New paper, just published at @SJTREM - how @EMRSscotland delivers aeromedical retrieval as a national service & its work in a system of pre-hospital critical care. Demonstrating potential of enhanced care in mitigating social and geographic inequalities. sjtrem.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.11…

Great thread summarising the equipoise - EVIS trial is randomising this group of patients - resuscitation phase of septic shock- to standard care or early pressors/restricted fluids

The best thing about 3am sunrises in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 is more time to think about #retrieval2025. New members on organising committee, new ideas coming together, same great opportunity to learn, connect and socialise. Put the dates in your diary - 1st and 2nd May 25 emrsscotland.org/retrieval-2025

Does HEMS respond where it's needed most? Just published SJTREM Pre-hospital critical care saves lives & the most deprived are more likely to have critical illness or injury. But the Inverse Care Law says resource is often distributed inversely to need. sjtrem.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.11…
